Get started building your Metro App for windows 8

-Ola S. Halvorsen is a Norwegian software developer that enjoys building userfriendly applications. He has a background as a .net developer and have been working with winforms applications, WPF and Silverlight and latest Windows 8 Metro apps.

He will show how easy it is getting started building your own metro app for windows 8 and taking advantage of the what the framework has to offer.

Abstract:

expanz is about to go to market with a platform for building line-of-business applications.  The expanzPLATFORM enables .NET developers to build scalable, cross platform business applications for the desktop, browser, mobile and cloud. In this session, we’ll look at how the expanzPLATFORM enables you to easily create Silverlight, Windows Phone, and WPF business applications, without having to write code on the client.  Attendees who register for the beta will get a free license for the expanzPLATFORM when it is released.

Bio:

Chris Anderson has been a professional developer for over a decade, specializing in building desktop, web, and mobile business applications using Microsoft technologies for industries as wide ranging as accounting, property valuation, mining, the fresh produce industry, logistics, field services, sales, and construction. Chris is the author of three books – Professional Visual Studio 2010 for Wrox (as a co-author), Pro Business Applications with Silverlight 4, and Pro Business Applications with Silverlight 5 (for Apress).  For the last 18 months, Chris has been working for expanz.
